With PET, pop songstress Kelley Ryan returns from her 1996 debut YOU WIN THE BRIDE, with a batch of fresh, catchy anthems. In addition to twelve sparkling new AstroPuppees originals, she and her partner Maureen Serrao cover the Marshall Crenshaw cult favorite "Crowded Town". Crenshaw puts in a guest appearance, playing bass guitar on "Angelica". Other guest stars include Don Dixon and Marti Jones. The astroPuppees particular girl-group brand of pop-rock might seem far afield from HIGHTONE's usual country-rock fare, but honest music and solid songwriting are what they're all about, and the astroPuppees pull it off extraordinarilly well.
